The art

Every detail of Apartamento Amsterdam was designed to take you to the Dutch capital. The rooms were conceived by the architect Dr. Miguel Carranza, and the works were painted by hand by the artist Eletrisa.

The works

  • The canals suite

In the en-suite room, a hand-painted mural recreating the canals of Amsterdam and their lit bridges. The arched headboard is backlit, and the lights of the mural carry on into it.

  • The Van Gogh room

In the room with the shared bathroom, an exclusive reinterpretation of "The Starry Night" of 1889, painted by hand by Eletrisa with all the force and movement of the original.

  • The Anne Frank panel

A wooden panel reproduced by @muralistoficial from the mural the Brazilian artist Eduardo Kobra painted in Amsterdam in 2016, carrying the words "Let me be myself". Anne Frank was a German Jewish teenager known around the world for the diary she wrote while hiding from the Nazis during the Second World War. Her book is among the most widely read and translated in the world.

  • The XXX symbol

XXX is the official symbol of Amsterdam. The three crosses of Saint Andrew stand for protection against fire, flood and plague. You will find it on our cushions and on the trim of the bathroom valves.

The Dutch Coffee Corner

  • Dutch inspiration

We took our cue from the cosy cafés of Amsterdam, where small details turn an ordinary moment into something worth slowing down for.

  • Details that welcome

Delicate cups, traditional ceramics, plants and warm lighting. The perfect setting for your coffee, and for a photograph too.

  • The capsules are on us

They are Dolce Gusto, in the capsule holder underneath the L'Hermitage cups. Pick one and help yourself.
